Our services
Thread Repairs
Usually threads are damaged by over-torqueing or cross threading. There are many types of thread inserts that are commonly used, heli-coils, threaded bush type inserts, shoulder inserts and more!
Knowledge and experience in this area allows us to determine which is the most appropriate depending on factors such as host material, size and pitch of the thread. After considering all these factors, we decide which insert to fit and return the thread to standard size. In most cases it will be stronger than the original.
Broken Bolts/Extraction
Many times people attempting to remove a broken bolt by drilling it out which results in the drill bit breaking or the ezy-out getting broken off. This is most common where the bolt is rusted and frozen in place because the ezy-out is half the size and twice as brittle as the bolt that is seized in. If the bolt was broken off, trying to get it out, the same will happen with the ezy-out. We have specialist tools to remove broken drill bits, east outs and the broken bolts.
